Welcome! This is a special section of my portfolio site dedicated to my writing work, where you’ll find links to my published work (from blog posts to magazine articles).

I would also like to let you know about the types of copywriting I’m currently doing for clients, which ranges from social media posts and ads (including Facebook Ads) to website copy, email sequences, and more. I also happen to be very good at coming up with product names and titles for books and articles. My favorite thing? Makeovers! In the context of writing, this includes eagle-eyed proofreading as well as copyediting.

Writing for your business

In the coming weeks, I’ll be adding some short samples of the copywriting I am doing for two of my business clients, both of whom are startups (less than 3 years in business), but who differ in every other way: one is a legal firm comprised of a network of attorneys with a wide variety of specialties, the other is a professional Tap dance performer and instructor who is now providing online training to dance studios and other Tap instructors.

But even with this kind of variety, I do have an area of specialty that I’m focusing on more and more as I develop my writing business: with my background in color palette development, graphic design, and just plain making stuff all my life, I love to write for companies who want to empower their customers to create, to DIY, to even completely transform something in their lives. That could be transforming a piece of fabric into a hand-made garment, or skeins of yarn into a sweater or socks; it could be learning how to properly apply paint to bathroom walls or the best way to temper eggs in hot milk when making creme brulée. Maybe your customers need help planning a travel wardrobe or designing a tablescape for a dinner party. Whatever creative projects your particular customers need guidance with, I can help you communicate the simple (but profound) joy of creating!
